Status: Completed on 9/29/2006 Project details Show on map The mainstem Cascade River is part of the Skagit Wild and Scenic River Corridor, which was designated by Congress in 1978. There is an emphasis on maintaining free-flowing unpolluted waters, limited road access, a shoreline with limited development, free-ranging wildlife, and outstanding scenery. The Cascade River is a tributary to the Skagit, which has it's confluence at the town of Marblemount.
